Our Directors

Learning and development are part and parcel of our culture, with our highly experienced on site teams, we take new knowledge from project to project. Our aim is that Health and Safety Compliance is consistently accomplished. This is achieved through high levels of investment and training, ensuring that all personnel are competent to undertake their role. With this approach we know we can ensure long term stability of the business and more importantly ensure the health and safety of our workforce.

AT Jones work in conjunction with the CITB to deliver apprenticeships across the business, and we put young adults through full education support we are dedicated to the perusal of educational courses through the CITB and University networks.

Dale Harper-Jones – Chairman

Dale started his career 25 years ago and has had an influential involvement at ATJ for all this time. Initially employed as an installer he has worked through all the disciplines within the business and is responsible for the current processes and driving through change in all areas. He has excellent relationship and influencing skills and is a strong people and stakeholder manager. Commerciality plays a big part in his current role and his risk and solution finding skills are outstanding. A key part of his skill set is taking owner managed businesses and making them more professional in terms of process, reporting and people. Some of his previous achievements over and above his educational qualifications include;

  • Leading ATJ through a MBO in 2005 and building an autonomous management team
  • Part of a MBO team with Adex Interiors in 2008 and currently sits on the Board as a non-exec
  • Part of a MBO team with Mecsafe Ltd in 2010 and currently sits on the Board as a non-exec
  • Held an executive position on a panel of professionals for Armstrong Ceilings advising on strategy and Market sectors (ARIC programme)
  • Leadership that lead to ATJ/HSI2 being interviewed and considered for the FT fast track 100

Brian Sheppard – Commercial Director

Brian is employed as the Commercial Director of AT Jones and also occupies the position of Company Secretary.

He has worked in the Construction Sector for 26 years, all of which have been in no trade positions. The vast majority of this period was spent in working for large Major Contractors as a site QS were Brian undertook the majority of his training, both on site and via professional exams.

Brian’s role has predominantly been QS/ Commercial Manager based, but he has also been involved in estimating and design assistance. During his time with AT Jones he has developed his skill set and has been influential in the company’s diversification into other sectors such as SFS framing, rainscreen cladding etc. Generally speaking, he has an attention to detail and a head for numbers.

Barry Beesley – Managing Director

Barry is employed as the Managing Director of AT Jones and has been working in the industry for nearly 30 years . During this time he has worked in a number of roles giving him an excellent trade knowledge.

Barry was also the driving force behind the opening of our London office in 2013.
